George Henry Lee Department Store - Liverpool

Another one ticked of the bucket list, over a year of trying and scoping out different entry points we scoped a broken window with hopes to return with a ladder the following week but we couldn’t believe out luck when a door we’d tried hundreds of times was wide open.

This place intrigued me for years after finding very little photos of the decay of this place I was dying to get inside, as far as I know were the first on 28DL to photograph this place, the building is massive we spent hours inside left undisturbed, there is one alarm sensor active in the entire building which I managed to trigger but no security stayed up. Very little vandalism inside only one spot of graffiti on the upper floors. This explore felt like proper urban exploration, a building with almost all natural decay very little people have got to see since rapid closed their doors.

Many remanence of the John Lewis past is still intact. The architecture inside is stunning much more appealing than the modern replacement inside of Liverpool ONE.
