Radiant House, was once the home of The Liverpool Gas Company, a business that was at the forefront of modern ingenuity during the post-war era. The impressive, art-deco building dominates the street and even back in it’s Liverpool Gas Company days it was a community hub. With several showrooms and a lecture theatre it welcomed shoppers and school children to witness the latest in gas manufacturing. It also offered its many staff a great workplace, with roof gardens, tea-rooms and dining suites. The staff kitchen, fitted with all of the company’s most cutting edge appliances, was accessible to the public.
